If you already have a SWIMTAG account and wish to link your Garmin Connect account to import swims from your Garmin device follow these steps:
- First ensure that you have a Garmin Connect account and your device is 'Synced' with it.
- The connection can be done on our website OR on the mobile app...
SWIMTAG Website
- Login to your SWIMTAG account and click settings (top right) and scroll down to the Linked Accounts > Import Swims section. Find Garmin Connect and click the green Connect button.
- A popup window will appear (if it does not then ensure your web browser allows popups)
- In the popup window you will be asked to login to your Garmin Connect account and give permission to read your activity data.
- Once you have confirmed the connection you will be returned to the SWIMTAG website and it will appear as 'Connected'.
- Now that you are connected you can choose to Auto publish all new swims to your SWIMTAG account. If you wish to manually search for recent swims to import go to Profile > Import Swims > Import Garmin Connect and search by date.
Mobile App
- Load the SWIMTAG App and select 'Linked Accounts' for the main menu (top right icon). Find Garmin Connect and click the green Connect button.
- A new window will appear where you will be asked to login to your Garmin Connect account and give permission to read your activity data.
- Once you have confirmed the connection you will be returned to the SWIMTAG App and it will appear as 'Connected'.
- Now that you are connected you can choose to Auto publish all new swims to your SWIMTAG account. If you wish to manually search for recent swims to Main Menu > Import Swims > Import Garmin Connect and search by date.
