SWIMTAG has been developed to work with a wide range of swimmers of all abilities. We are constantly working to improve the accuracy of our algorithms to accommodate irregular behaviour in the pool, there may be times however when SWIMTAG cannot determine your stroke type.
Take a look at these tips that will help ensure your swims are processed correctly:
Length End - SWIMTAG will work best if it can easily detect the end of each length. Any break in you regular swimming pattern will help with this, such as:

Stroke Type Change - SWIMTAG will attempt to detect the stroke type of all your lengths, however, if you change stroke type mid-length the system may not detect the correct stroke type.

Treading Water - In some circumstances treading water can be mistaken for regular swimming, to help prevent this you should avoid regular arm movements while resting wherever possible.
