If you have an Apple Watch, you can import swims to your SWIMTAG account using the Apple Health App on your iPhone.
Check Apple Health Permissions
The first time you install SWIMTAG on your iPhone you will be prompted to give permission to SWIMTAG to read/write your Apple Health activity data, you must allow these permissions in order to import swim data.
To check that these permissions are set you can do the following:
- Open the Apple Health App
- Go to 'Sharing' at the bottom
- Select 'Apps and Services'
- Select SWIMTAG from the list of apps
- Ensure all options are enabled
Enable Automatic Imports
In order to automatically import swims in SWIMTAG whenever they are added to Apple Health you need to do the following:
- Select the menu on the top left of the screen and choose 'Import Swims'
- Then choose the Apple Health option
- Ensure that 'Auto publish new swims' is switched on
Please note that the SWIMTAG App needs to be running on your phone in order to received the new workout automatically, if the workout doesn't transfer you can reload the SWIMTAG App and it should be picked up. If not see the next section.
Manually Search For Swims To Import
If you wish to manually search and pick the swims to import you can do the following:
- Select the menu on the top left of the screen and choose 'Import Swims'
- Then choose the Apple Health option
- Choose the Start and End date that you wish to search for and press 'Search', this may take 10-20 seconds.
- The search results will popup in a new window.
- You must choose which swims you wish to import from the results list, multiple swims can be imported together if they are from the same pool, for each selection choose 'Choose Your Pool' to continue.
- Once you have selected you pool you can press 'Import Swims' (open water swims will be added automatically).
- When you have finished importing return to the home page and your account will automatically refresh with the latest data.
